Nestled between hectares of prestigious vineyards, Gran Hotel Mas d’en Bruno is a luxury boutique hotel on a historic estate in the heart of Priorat, Catalonia’s yet-to-bediscovered wine gem. All 24 elegant suites display luxury, intimacy, and privacy. The hotel was developed, designed, and is owned by the Stein Group (www.thesteingroup.com). My cooperation with the Stein Group goes back to 2004, when I started working as a freelance designer in Barcelona. Over the years, we have worked on a lot of projects together. The principal shape of the logo is a rhombus, which comes from the original element of the farmhouse, as both the color and the rhomboid shape are present in the ceramic tiles on the ceiling and the entrance door. Lettering: The “M” and “B” are embracing the “D” in the middle of the rhombus. The 2 characters are representing 2 buildings. As a primary font, I was choosing “Span.” Span bridges the gap between contemporary and traditional.
